California Radio Control Jet Association

O.K. So you done some reading and looked at the pictures and now you want to be a Jet Jockey. Well no problem. First question everyone else has asked before (yeah, sure right after "how much do Jets cost"), is how do you know when you are ready to handle a Jet. Bottom line is if you don't know, then no one else does for you. You have to be able to fly at higher speeds than prop planes. Basically if you can fly pattern or pylon you just might be there already. Here I will list some basic tip on how to build Jets. Remember everyone has his style and mine does not fit everyone. I can try to answer some questions for you as time allows so send them to:CRCJA@AOL.COM.

To Suscbibe to the RC-JET Mailing List, where you wil get tons of email discussion about Jets and how to build them, send and email to RC-JETS-ON@LISTS.KIDSOURCE.COM

Let the Journey begin. Where do you want to start?YOU CAN DOUBLE CLICK ANY PICTURES TO SEE A LARGER ON.

8. Smoke ON!

UUHHHHMMM so you want to play with the Big Boys? This is a Real Turbine. Miniature but still a Turbine. It is powered by either Jet-A or Kerosene. At about $3000.00 a Piece, they are not cheap but it has the look, sound and smell of a real Jet (remember I said it was a real Turbine). This is an older picture of a RAM Turbine. They no longer come with the plasma bags for fuel tanks and they do not require a seperate tank for oil. (Bottom left and Right of the picture)

Airplanes types vary just like in the real world. (actually I think we have more choices) You can either go Scale and have a Jet that looks and flies like the real counterpart. Or you can go sport. Sport is basically a jet that does not really resemble any real Jet but was built for Fun Flyers or just to have better flying characteristics. O.K. then we go to sport scale. In Sport Scale you have an Airplane that sort of looks close to a real counterpart but was modified either to keep the cost lower or just to get better a better flying characteristics.
